About the Owner

meMy name is Lorlee Murray, but you can call me Lee.

I am the owner and instructor of the creative fine arts studio, ART on the Ranch LLC,  in the Williamson Valley area Prescott, Arizona, where I teach children from age 5 and up.

My classes include: Fine Arts (Drawing – Pencil, Color Pencil, Charcoal and Pen & Ink, Painting – Watercolor, Acrylic & Oil) Creative Crafts – Mosaics, Glass Painting, Mixed Media and more. Classes offered are private and semi-private lessons (maximum of 6) by appointment.

I also provide Mommy & Me classes for the younger students and adult classes. Seasonal Workshops include Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter programs which include a variety of mediums and projects. Custom designed classes can be arranged as well. Specialty Sessions are available such as Girls Night Out Paint Parties, ART Parties and more are available by request.

After 21 years in the Marketing Design business I decided to change my career and concentrate on my love of creating art and sharing that love with others. So I went to work for a private art studio in Southern California where my husband was stationed, I taught Fine Arts (Drawing – Pencil, Color Pencil, Charcoal and Pen & Ink, Painting – Watercolor, Acrylic & Oil, Creative Crafts – including but not limited to Mosaics and Glass Painting) to both children and adults for 10 years.

After teaching there I left to study Early Childhood Education with an Art Emphasis and worked with preschool students. When my husband retired and we moved to Arizona I opened my own studio in 2015, which allows me more freedom to teach art to a wider variety of students including those with special needs.

I am also a freelance photographer with my photos shown at local galleries, on-line and featured on Network TV.

I have been married for over 37 years to my high school sweetheart, we have three grown children and seven grand-children.

I have had the pleasure of working and enjoying traveling with the Mission Team of “Camp-in-a-Box” through Child Hope International since 2008 teaching arts & crafts to the children of the Maison de Lumiere Orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. I have fund raised for my mission trips to Haiti by selling my photography and art reproduced on greeting cards and matted prints.

One of my favorite quotes and something I firmly believe is:
“The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself,
the more energy you will have.”
